Celebration of Life

In Loving Memory of
Dr. Mario A. Perez

The Sonoma State University community comes together to honor and remember Mario A. Perez, Ed.D, following his sudden passing. Mario was a valued colleague, mentor, and friend whose presence left a lasting mark on our campus.

Mario dedicated his time at Sonoma State to the University Advancement division, where he made meaningful contributions through his work with colleagues, community members, students, donors, alumni, and the broader university community. He was known for his sense of humor, competitiveness, kindness, and dedication, and for the care he brought to every conversation and interaction. Those who worked alongside him will remember not only his professional commitment, but also the genuine way he connected with others. His impact will continue to be felt across the SSU community and beyond.
