Charlene Lennon

About

Charlene Lennon’s natural curiosity of people, places and the desire to learn more about them underlies her career, from its launch in the hospitality/tourism industry to her current role at Sonoma State University. An experienced leader and relationship builder, she brings people together to create opportunities, experiences and desired results.  She has enjoyed welcoming visitors from around the world, and loves being an ambassador for Sonoma State, and the place she calls home.  

Graduating from college changed the trajectory of her life, and as a first- generation college student, she always wanted the opportunity to give back. A proud alumna of Hawaii Pacific University, Charlene holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Travel Industry Management. She has enjoyed working for major hotel companies and destination marketing organizations around the country, including Honolulu, Orlando, Chicago, Silicon Valley, San Francisco and Santa Rosa.

Originally from San Francisco, Charlene and her husband live in Santa Rosa and love the life they have made for their family in the North Bay. Charlene is proudest of her two sons, one a recent graduate of San Diego State University, and the other a current student here at SSU.

Interests: Travel, exploring new regions, trying new restaurants, attending community events, and spending time with family and friends.

What I love about Sonoma State University: The energy on campus: the promise that what’s happening here will better our collective future.  Having the chance to learn something new every day, and the privilege to work with
exceptional students, faculty, leadership, and the awesome Advancement Team.
