Sara Golightly

About

As a proud graduate of Sonoma State University, Sara holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Currently serving as the Gift and Constituent Records Specialist, she has the pleasure of processing gifts made to the various University programs and maintaining donor data records. Prior to joining University Advancement in her current role, she spent the previous 21 years as part of SSU's Financial Aid Office, primarily as the Scholarship Coordinator. Sara prides herself on the strong relationships and connections she's made within the SSU community and was recently selected as a Staff representative for the 2024/2025 Faces of SSU campaign, where she is excited to share her love of the University and all it has to offer.

As a busy wife and mom of three boys, Sara spends the majority of her time outside work with family and friends attending school, sports, and community activities. She is an active member of her boys' elementary PTA Board in addition to volunteering with the local baseball and soccer leagues her children participate in.

Interests: Reading, gardening, watching youth and professional sports, camping, and exploring local state and regional parks

What I love about Sonoma State University: The best part of working at Sonoma State is experiencing all the activities and beauty on campus that I didn't take the time to enjoy during my time as a student.
