About

Alicia has been employed at Sonoma State University since 2009. In 2010, when her twin boys were 2 ½ years old, she returned to college to complete her degree. Occasionally, life got in the way and she graduated from Sonoma State University in 2018 with her Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  She loved the classes, the things she learned and was exposed to, and the professors!  

Alicia has spent most of her life in Sonoma County and attended Santa Rosa High School, which one of her sons now attends.  In past years, she was a member of the Santa Rosa High School  Foundation and the publisher of their quarterly newsletter.  She is the mom of two amazing fellas and an aspiring (albeit slow) runner. Food is likely her love language as she loves everything about it - preparing, eating - and all kinds of food from the taco truck on the corner to the finest of dining.  She collects cookbooks and recipes and tries a new recipe at least weekly.  She feels fortunate to have so many long-term friendships, spanning decades - from when she was in her tween and early teen years.

Alicia believes as humans our job is to care for one another.  

Alicia is excited to be a part of the Advancement team, having joined in 2023.  She brings nearly 40 years of experience serving folks in a variety of capacities. And while established in many ways, she is enthusiastic about continuing to learn and grow in this new-to-her role.
