About

Katherine is a proud alumna of Sonoma State University with a passion for the arts receiving a Bachelors in Art History in 2011. Her diverse educational background also includes multiple Culinary Arts degrees from the Santa Rosa Junior College received in 2013 and a Masters Degree in Communication from Arizona State University received in 2020. During her time as a student at Sonoma State, Katherine was involved with the Rowing Team and has now served as the team's staff advisor for the 5th consecutive year in a row. She has a desire for providing support and resources for students which was a driving factor for Katherine's return to Sonoma State. She continues to look for additional ways to fulfill this passion through her current role as a Development Officer with University Advancement which allows her to honor her personal drive to give back and her professional goals of facilitating meaningful connections between donors and the organizations on campus that they are passionate about.

As a busy professional and Mom, Katherine has a talent for building connections and meeting new people. Driven by her motivation for helping others and getting involved, Katherine strives to immerse herself in her community both at Sonoma State University and in her hometown of Windsor. Katherine wears multiple hats, her favorite being "Mom" as she and her husband continue to navigate the busy world of raising a toddler while expecting their second child, a baby girl, due this April 2024. Katherine values her personal time with family and friends and is excited about the new adventure of being a Mom of two.

Interests: Spending time with family and friends while continuing to explore the beautiful things that Sonoma County has to offer. After almost 20 years of living in this community, there are still so many new places to discover.

What I love about Sonoma State University: The sense of community at SSU is so inviting! The friendships and professional relationships that have been cultivated here make for a positive working and learning environment for all. Plus the campus is beautiful!
